Removal

If and when you want to remove the service, follow these steps:

1. Open "Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs".
2. Locate "Keep Me Posted" and hit [Change/Remove].

Note:

If you want to remove all saved settings and you are comfortable running Regedit, you can delete [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Elegant Logic\KeepMePosted].

Technical Information:

The removal program performs the following steps:

• stops the service if it is running (this is the same as running "KMPServ /stop" from a command prompt)
• uninstalls the service (this is the same as running "KMPServ /uninstall" from a command prompt)
• deletes the executable and help file

The removal process does not delete the log file, if it exists, nor does it delete saved settings.  The subdirectory KMP was installed in will only be removed if it is empty (i.e. there is no log file or it has been previously removed and no other file has been added to the folder).
